proably me but i couldn't find a like for what's new and what's improved in realband 2017
I think most of the changes this time were in BIAB, but some of them are applicable to RB as well...
1) Sforsanzo (sp?) soft synth now gives you another player for MIDI and sound fonts.
2) we finally have a way to make SEQ files the default save-to file format in RB... no more opening a BIAB track, making lots of DAW-type changes, then accidentally saving in the original BIAB format that doesn't support the features you just added
3) A variety of bug fixes... here's a partial list of things that were fixed or added:
ADDED: A rapid notation entry mode has been added for piano and guitar music. Veritcal yellow line makes time line more visible when editing notation.
ADDED: RealBand now remembers previous width & height when saving notation as image.
ADDED: RealBand notation now has a checkbox to keep ratio the same when changing width or height in Save image dialog.
ADDED: Tap tempo has been enhanced. Now as you type more than 4 times. The accuracy will improve (through averaging)
and you can continue to tap until the target tempo has been reached.
ADDED: Mixer has been enhanced with double click option to set the mixer values to defaults.
ADDED: 'Default to .SEQ format when saving a file' checkbox in File Preferences which will make RB default to .SEQ format when saving the current song, even if the current song was originally another format such as .MID or .SGU
FIXED: Notes not sounding when clicking on the guitar window
FIXED: Notes sent from guitar win to notation win were incorrectly set to the channel of the next lowest string
FIXED: Gain nodes in a track with the pattern of a square wave were not changing the level correctly
FIXED: XML timing issues when importing certain files containing grace notes (which are now correctly set to invisible notes without affecting the notation timing, until we eventually support display in a later version)
FIXED: crash when choosing a Hi-Q patch, or style that uses one.
FIXED: any problems that involve having MME playback started
FIXED: flash message "MIDI Playback (if any) will be silent because no MIDI Out driver is selected. This message shows only once per session."
there's more, but I'm old and doing the best I can with my 3 remaining brain cells.
