GHinCH Expert Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 1,492 Schleswig-Holstein, Germany	From my point of view, in Germany we don't get to hear all the music from your side of the pond, when I listen to (mainstream) country music through the decades I'm able to detect the era just by the style of the music. (Mainstream) Country always reflected the current popular music styles. In many cases it was country just because the singer or bandleader wore a cowboy hat or cowboy boots. Yes, there are others where the steel guitar whines so hard or the banjo has a so dominant role that you couldn't sell this in any other market.
