Pax,
If you only have chords on the chordsheet, it's the style that determines the time signature. The chordsheet does not set it.
That you cannot hear a 4/4 style when loaded and generated, and tracks are not frozen, sounds like you might have an audio file rendering of the style playing along with the new style you load. Right-click on the Audio menu on the top tool bar and see if you can mute it.
Also, did you play around with Performance tracks? Have you loaded a midi file as the starting place for the song? Did you get this file from the internet?
Lastly, change the song to a 4/4 style. Save the song with a new name. Now open that newly named song in Realband. Does it work now?
Regards,
Noel
Nope no audio recordings. I don't do them in BIAB. I will try that last but really, that should not be necessary. What if I want to audition several styles before deciding on one? Means I would have to re-name several attempts at find a style.
I think there is something fundamentally wrong if BIAB cannot simply change the loaded RT parts with a 4/4 as determined by the style. In most other areas the STYLE is the over-riding control aspect for songs, well I was under the impression it was anyway haha!
EDIT: just for the record I did do a re-name and it still plays in 3/4 even though a 4/4 style is loaded. I might now play around with a few other 3/4 tunes and see if it is a generic issue or just related to these two styles.
