Just an FYI, and if you got your ST 2 issue fixed fine - ignore the rest of this:

After a little homework and a reply from PG tech support - ST2 HI-q's are no longer "supported" (i.e., SampleTank DXi is no longer called up if you pick a ST2 HI-q) and the BAIB "version" of the Sampletank DXi is no longer included in the BIAB install.

If you have a separate version of SampleTank 2 (full or free and I'm not talking about what BIAB installed during its install process) BIAB 2017 should not have messed up your ST2 install, all 2017 did was, if you choose the option, install Sforzando sfz/soundfont VSTi application

You will notice that if you had previously installed ST2 Hi-Q's (I'm not talking about the .sfz Hi-Q's) - all of a sudden when you look at your list of ST2 HI-Q's which are now listed/intermingled with the SForzando sfz's, they say "SampleTank is not installed," but your corresponding SForzando .sfz has no issue.

The IK SampleTank 2 DXi will be listed in the installed DXi's IF YOU separately installed full or free SampleTank 2 itself - and it will work from within BIAB like any DXi, but BIAB will not "automagically" look for/invoke it for ST2 HI-Q's

If you want, to clean up and get rid of those ST2 HI-q's see this thread:
