Hopalong Cowgirl - http://sclk.co/s818et

I met Cheryl Aranda at Jai Joseph's Songwriter's workshop at the CNN building on Sunset Blvd. At the time my writing partner and I were producing our demo's at my home studio, trying to save the expense of having then done professionally. Cheryl volunteered to help us out by singing on a couple of songs that required a female vocal. Cheryl was a beautiful and talented woman, as well as a devoted wife and mother. She used her talent to express the joy of her religious faith. Cheryl passed away on June 27, 2009. You can read her LIFE LEGACY here. http://www.guerragutierrez.com/memsol.cgi?user_id=741926

I hope you enjoy the beauty of her voice on these songs.

Her album "Looking for the lightning" is here - http://www.mtv.com/artists/cheryl-aranda/discography/

Hopalong Cowgirl- This is the second of two songs sung by the late Cheryl Aranda. This song was inspired by my being the father of two "Hopalong Cowgirls".

Both songs were recorded in or around 2001, using BIAB midi files from country crossover or hhop styles. The midi sounds were generated by a Roland JV-1010 with a Country Sounds expansion card. Cubase sequencer. Roland digital recorder.
