Great song Ian , I enjoyed listening very much.. I loved your relaxed vocal approach. Felt like I was right there in the bar.
I liked the midi nylon guitar even if it did sound like an electric piano a bit. Sometimes it clashed a bit with the
other piano that was playing chords.
The chug-a-lug counting made me smile.

First class effort this, most of all because there is a pleasing consistency of message, delivery and musical style.
Some of the phrases, particularly from the nylon gtr, don’t seem to fit (e.g. immediately after v1).
I would also like to hear this one played by live musicians. The song itself is, I think, stronger than this particular recording.

Peter, Marc - I'm glad you weighed in on this. I use XG voices which are usually pretty reliable. But I too noticed that in a couple of places the guitar voice did sound like a piano. The soloist I used was a guitarist so the phrasing shouldn't sound piano like but... maybe if I shortened the notes up and did away with the "fret sliding", or lowered them an octave, or turned those short questionable riffs actually in to a piano voice.
