Hey Gene - I originally had four more verses in there - whittled it from 7:30 to the current length. I onceI headed up a separation/divorce support group - which is what I was doing at the time when I wrote the tune. Lots of stories. I wanted a simple format so people could echo the lead line (typical blues style). Any attempts at choruses or bridges did not sound right, and detracted from the dark-humored simplicity so I went with instrumental breaks for interest sake - with a jam session feel. Appreciate the input.
Country music follows a pretty rigid format, but blues is a simple format - as I once heard in a movie "blues ain't nothing but a good man feeling down." - and that's simplicity itself. Take care
