Alan, You just kill me! The spoons really work. Great choice on the guitar. Your distinctive style and musical choices always leave me smiling and looking forward to what your nicely warped mind has in store next. I am a huge fan. Merry Christmas, Tom

Great song Alyn! I love the story behind it (and a nice touch around 1:47)!

Love the acoustic guitar tone and riff.
All of those vocal/harmony tracks on the chorus also sound great!!
Lots of neat little touches - like the weird echo on "by the fire".
The harmonica solo also fits beautifully.

Really enjoyed it.
Jez

Jez,

Thanks for listening, yeh I too LOVE the acoustic guitar, it "hit the spot" as soon as I heard it.

That weird echo on fire seemed natural as in the vocal practice runs something was missing from the first run through; it was always meant to be grin
Glad you enjoyed it!

Have a good Christmas

Thanks for giving me a good singalong!

Robert

Robert,
Yeh I was tempted to "relax the rules" but her-indoors, the wife, was adamant that was a NO-NO grin

So glad you joined in the chorus.

Regarding Christmas songs, you just set the piano on fire and left
the stage.

Wow!

J&B

Wow, how do I respond to that??
I have been trying for a while to use the spoons and so started with them and when I heard the song with 2548:Guitar nothing else was needed, well apart from the harmonica.

Glad you enjoyed.
Oh I roasted some chestnuts and marshmallows on the flaming piano before I departed grin
Have a good Christmas, both.

Alyn,

This is again shines with the excellence that I've come to anticipate from your compositions. You really have an amazing knack for taking ordinary and everyday (like snoring dogs and pacing cats) and turning it into an extraordinary set of lyrics. I greatly admire your skill.

From composition to arrangement to performance and production, this is a really enjoyable listen.

May all that's good come your way this Christmas,
Noel
