Ok so Herb Hartley had me cracking up big time with his comment about the rotten eggshells of the rancid songs that never made it out of the studio. So I could not resist. This is my contribution to the songwriting forum for the month. Merry Christmas. Floyd might be drinking his way through the holidays but I think that is kind of lightweight. I wanted to do it old school. https://soundcloud.com/davidsnyderchannel/strangeStrange By David Snyder intro [John is Paul and Paul is John and Paul is John and John is Paul] V1 Walking on the rotting eggshells Of the songs we’ve written yesterday They’re never played Lucy and the Walrus in the garden Sip peyote lemonade Strawberry Way CH And you’re so straaaaaaange But I don’t mind The weather’s fine And you’re so straaaaaaange But I don’t mind It blows my mind Bridge In the English garden Of your mind the fading Tapestry unwinds Your head inside a letter box The universe spins wildly Out of time Hey, let's go V2 Take my hand I’ll take you back To another place another time Called Penny Lane You know the name You know the name CH And it’s so straaaaaaange But I don’t mind The weather’s fine And we’re so straaaaaaange But I don’t mind It blows my mind And we’ll be fine We’ll be fine All Words and Music Copyright 2016 by David Snyder Style is Beatles Style. David.......
....You’re so straaaaaaange.
But I don’t mind. In fact... I rather like it...
Once again, amazingly inventive and original - while borrowing heavily, of course... The music is dense and really, really "listenable" - that in itself is an accomplishment.
Your Beatleishness seems mixed with a little Byrds and a little Buffalo Springfiled - you're covering an awful lot of classifications...
Excellent mix on this.
And, btw.... I need the bottle back...

David, I'm very glad to have known you now just in case you start acting normal. Wow what a dreamscape of sounds. Definitely dipped in the Beatles, a trippy Lennonesqe write. A great listen. Tom

STRANGE ..Now that is strange well done my thoughts when I listened.. were on the walrus time of the Beatles.
Why do I say STRANGE..I've been working on a wee tribute to john Lennon and I was just about to post it on the forum.
Great minds ....?...WELL.
Enjoyed it.
Take care

Whoa, Mommie! Glad I live near Boulder so I could run out and get something to help me listen to this with a bit of context if necessary. Twinkies. We're talking Twinkies here. It's gonna take me a while to get back to normal after that STRANGEEEE...experience. Good one, David BB

As one of the biggest Beatle fan's of all time, I found this WONDERFUL!! (or should I say Wonderwall-sorry, wrong Beatle). You've captured the vibe so well. And the drums are sooooooo Ringo! Loved it!! Take care. Greg

David, Listened a few times... well the backwards? lyrics at the end could really mean something and you`ve created such a Great Big Sound! As much Echo & The Bunnymen as Beatles. Sitar - really?
