I find I often use other styles even in a jazz song .. or a dixieland song .. or a rock or blues song.
To me some of the fun is the possibilities. I have one song that uses dixieland, grunge, rock and (I think) R&B styles .. all in the same song.
If you need just quick simple arrangements, Pro may be fine .. but the more you have the more fun it can be, so get as much as you are comfortable with (want to spend).
Many times I have used RT's or styles I never would have initially thought I'd want.
