Welcome to the forum.
There should not be an automatic intro. But let's concentrate on the ending. How exactly did you tell BIAB to not use an ending?
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

The best way to have no automatic ending is to create one yourself.
BB will have to end the song one way or another. So, add as many measures as you need and use that space to end the song in whatever way you want.
I have done my own endings on a number of songs and it works well.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

If you just want a song to end with say a 4 chord run out and then a held chord finish (like many Live songs do)I find the best way to achieve it is to make the last bar of your song or the end of your coda / run-out etc a Held chord (X...)and extend from there on by about 8 bars. That will give you a bar where the chords play then just fade away after a couple of bars (as happens naturally). If you allow the SGU to continue to play, you will then also hear the BB constructed ending, which you dont want. Just clip that off your wavs when you send the tracks to your DAW. Worth a try? Ian

Ian Just to add to this advice you can also ad a chord Y. after the X... where you want the final chord to finish. The chord Y. can be anything you want as long as it is different from X... I also find that you sometimes get an unwanted drum crash when the X... chord sounds. If this happens then mute the drum track at (or before) the X... with "bar Settings" F5. Using these various methods you have complete control over the ending. Tony

My song has the word 'end' written in red in a bar., How do I delete it? I dont wish the ending here, I have tried all things to get the end chord at the end of the song!! I delete the bars but the end written in red stays. I have tried making the end of the song within the song preference end on the bar I want but still it doesnt work I cannot find any information how to delete it. I do not even know how it got there and its sending me crazy!!! Update. After calming down after 3 hours of going around in circles I found the solution. I now understand that the end bar is the one after the one I wished to end. I kept on getting grey boxes and the end happening 2 bars early or 2 bars late. Its easy when you know how isn't it. Ah! the frustrations of a newbie!!

Glad that you got it sorted out, and also that you posted your resolution. That will help others in the future no doubt.

Perhaps this is unrelated, but why is the ending NOT playing the chords I specified? I have E and B7 two beats each and the last measure of the ending has an E for all four beats. Why is it just playing E all the way through the last two measures? Any ideas? Thanks!
EDIT: Also can't get rid of the intro despite unchecking the "allow intro" and related boxes. Can't figure out why this aspect is feeling so non-intuitive? It plays correctly in the program but when I export to mp3, there are four seconds of silence and THEN it plays the intro? Why? And how can I get rid of it?

Why is it just playing E all the way through the last two measures? Any ideas? Thanks! It's the way the program operates. BIAB's automatic endings use predetermined chords and these are set. If you want to override these chords, it's necessary to disable the automatic ending using "Song Settings" and then to create your own ending manually. In relation to the above, it sounds like "intro" is being used with two meanings -- that is, the intro that you've created and also the 4 seconds silence at the beginning. Is it these 4 seconds that you are trying to eliminate? Regards, Noel

Too bad about the endings, I like how the fiddle rhythm and such changed there for the ending, but I'm guessing that all I would have to do is set the fiddle substyle differently and I could get the same results using my own chords for the ending. As to the intro, yes, I am trying to eliminate the 4 seconds of silence that occurs only in the exported MP3. The 4 seconds do not play when playing the song within BIB.

Another thing to tinker with is to adjust the starting and ending bar settings so BIAB doesn't play the unwanted bars.
I also frequently trim the bars in my DAW.
YMMV

YMMV Thank you, both of you. I ended up having to trim off the bars in my DAW as you suggested. I'm sure there must be a better fix, but that will work for now. Hope I didn't seem demanding with my requests--I appreciate greatly all the help you guys have given me and the forum as a whole (I'm new).

Hi Noel,
