Greetings,
I've got several thousand BIAB songs. I've created a folder of all my favorite RT demos, which are also saved as BIAB song files. What is the best or fastest way to get my melody file to play with these new styles? I would hate to have to load a new RT for every instrument in the song......there has to be a better way?

Edward,
I'm not fully understanding what you mean. When you say "Melody file" what do you mean? Is this an .MGU file or is it a .MEL created by BIAB?
Also, so that we understand what you are doing, can you please give a sequence of dot points about how you combine your melody file into one of your existing songfiles. This would help a great deal.

Hi Noel, thanks so much for responding! Ok, I'll try to run this step by step:
1. I created a new folder and I've been auditioning RT Demos, when I hear a demo I like, I copy that file into the folder.
2. I open a previously finished song with a melody.
3. What I want to do is>
Copy the melody and chords of this file and then drop it into the new favorite RT demo style I like (This would be ideal because I could quickly hear my song in several of these favorite styles.)
The problem is I'm not sure if it's possible to have 2 songs open at the same time, or is it possible to copy the Melody/Chords, then close the file and edit the new file?
I know I'm not writing this correctly, but I'm hoping you understand. I'm trying to avoid having to load each new RT for my songs, it would take a few years.......

There is a style "alias" feature.
Let's say you have 3,000 songs saved using ZZJAZZ.sty. And you want them to use _JAZFRED.sty
Choose menu- File- Load Style Special - Style Aliases
In that dialog, setup an alias ZZJAZZ and _JAZFRED.
Then whenever you load a ZZJAZZ song, you'll see _JAZFRED instead.
If you want to make the changes permanent, load the next song (Shift F8) and press save (F2) and keep doing that (Shift F8, then F2) for all songs.
