By the way, my informal experiments tell me that even though it takes more effort to drag tracks separately, the overall time is about the same. When I experimented with drag and drop a couple of years ago, I found the same, too, Matt. Since then, I simply choose to render the files and then open Reaper and load them into there manually using Reaper's file explorer. At the end of the day, drag and drop doesn't seem to appreciably shortcut the generating and saving process (which makes sense with you think about it), it simply offers a choice in procedure.
