Hi forum laugh

I have been "using" band in a box for a couple of years. But this year i decide to purchase the audiophile version and try to get some of my songs recorded.

So I have done that througout the year and here are some of them under the band name( all me and BIAB laugh ) The Northen Dive

All the songs listed on my soundcloud account are my own

The Road
I found out that my teenage niece was drinking and doing drugs. I was upset and worried having a past with such things and so this song came about

Originally I had written this in a different style and in a open D tuning upon playing with band in a box i made the chords more basic being unable to transcribe the chords(a common theme for me), which worked in its favour.

Welcome to the Showcase.

Before you updated your post, I sampled several of your songs. It is an interesting variety...

Commenting on songs in the forum can take a good deal of time - so it is best to do one at a time.

So... regarding: The Road... a really cool sound to this overall... nice use of BIAB.... a very cool vocal. But, it is a bit hard to hear the lyric...which can be okay overall for a song like this, but you might want to include a lyric so we can follow along... or make the vocal a bit "crisper" so it is easier to understand the words.

I did enjoy the sound and feel of this...

I enjoyed listening to several of your songs - there`s an uncompromising intensity for sure and the lyrics are powerful.
I hear some Morrissey in your vocal style - a good thing to these ears.
I agree with Floyd that your vocals sound a little far back on this track.

Welcome and we agree with all of the above. The general practice here is to let a song run it's "comment course" before posting another. It will give the commenters more time to reflect on the song.

Just add your lyric here (as you did) or to the "description" section of Soundcloud which you can get to by clicking on the edit button which is a little "pen" icon.

Very melancholy lyrics. Felt allot of emotion in the words.

As Janice and Bud said best to post each song separately and when it looks like the comments are done i.e. pushed to second or third page then post another. Will give everyone a chance to hear the song and it won't disappear as fast. Again welcome to the forum. Good bunch here. Lots of help available here. Make the most of BIAB.

Yeah I saw that. I thought I would post cause might not get much done doe a while, this song was brewing for last 3 years since my friend passed. Thanks again.
