The melody is a copyright infringement lawyer's slam dunk dream, dead ringer for Kris Kristofferson's song, Help Me Make It Through The Night. Many of the lines in the verse and chorus are note for note. My wife, downstairs hearing this song playing on my computer, also commented that it was Kris's melody. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CksF7Kr7DrwI would reconsider this song project, since other aspects of this also need work. Keep the words, rewrite the melody and then record it better. The recording sounded like it was recorded with a single mic in a room with the music playing on a stereo. Lot's and lots of room sound, no lows, and the aforementioned vocal issues. Of course, this is simply my personal opinion.
