You can always save the song, and close it. Then reopen it in Real Band. All the existing tracks will be opened and you are then able to add as many more tracks as you wish selecting from the many real tracks in RB.
I often take a basic rock and roll project from BB with a couple of guitars, bass and drums, and in RB add steel guitar, fiddle, dobro, mandolin and perhaps a few other things.
