Hi Veterans,
It is possible to add next to the existing tracks in the style of a new track, so I had eg .:
- Bass
- Piano,
- Drums
- Guitar
- Strings
- Sax as new
- Melody
- Soloist
- Thru
- Audio
If so, how and how many tracks up? Is a journey through the so-called. Hybrid Styles?

BIAB is limited to those tracks (without the sax) including just one audio track. The Thru track is for playing along live. The only way I can think of to possibly do this in BIAB is to have more than one instrument recorded on the one audio track.
What you can easily do is save the song and open it in RealBand where you have 48 tracks. Add the sax and any other tracks there.

You can always save the song, and close it. Then reopen it in Real Band. All the existing tracks will be opened and you are then able to add as many more tracks as you wish selecting from the many real tracks in RB.
I often take a basic rock and roll project from BB with a couple of guitars, bass and drums, and in RB add steel guitar, fiddle, dobro, mandolin and perhaps a few other things.

You can actually use multiple RealTracks (up to 10on the same track. Granted, you only get one volume control and all effects will apply equally to both RealTracks, but it can be done.
Open the RealTracks Picker and click on the medley button; this is actually to enable you to switch out instruments every "N" bars; however, there is a checkbox to play all the instruments simultaneously.
Technically, you could have up to 70 RealTracks playing at the same time (7 tracks times 10 RTs).
This doesn't give you an extra track, but effectively it does. Obviously, when you regenerate to get a slightly different sound, all the instruments on that track are going to be regenerated. But it gets you close.
Additionally, if you have the Audio track available, you can always render one of the tracks to the audio track (as long as the WAV file is the same name as the BIAB file and in the same folder, it will play the WAV file on the audio track of the song). You could then reassign the original track to a new RealTrack. Make sure your chord progression and song structure is complete before doing this, as you won't be able to change the audio track once recorded.
But there are some options to accomplish what you want.
