Hi, all. I'm not sure if this is something that's been discussed or patched long ago (it doesn't turn up on a forum search), but in version 12 build 30, I'm having trouble entering chords with a slash-bass note in minor keys. The bass note is being automatically transposed up a minor third, so that Am/D becomes Am/F. If I open an already-created song using these slash-chords and navigate between cells with the arrow keys, the roots will transpose as soon as I reach that cell. What's the issue? Do I have a setting off somewhere? Is this a bug that's been fixed in newer versions?

Have you set the key of the song to A minor rather than leave it in the default of C major?

Yes. If I change the song from A minor to A major (without transposing), then the correct slash-roots are preserved. That's my workaround, for the time being. This problem only occurs in minor keys, so I have to "lie" and tell BIAB that the key is major. I've got a newer version on a Windows machine, I need to verify whether it happens there, too.

Have you tried leaving the key as C major and seeing what happens? This is a very interesting problem.

Make sure that you have "Edit -Prefs 2- for Roman Numerals in minor keys, use relative major selected.

That's the answer, thanks. I'm not sure if I'd gotten to that page of preferences, but if I did, I would never have known from the way that's worded that it would have been the answer to my problem. When I release the fakebook I'm working on to the wild, a couple more people might run across this problem.

The default setting doesn't have the issue, its only if the user has change the setting that it appears. So its unlikely that many of your users will see that issue.
