MIDI Guitar (MG) is not a plug-in (per se) - it USES plug-ins.

Think of it like an external MIDI keyboard synth but inside the PC. It's PRIMARILY for INPUTTING MIDI notes and chords to record, trigger VSTi's, or to send outside the PC to external MIDI synth HW to trigger that HW.

The MIDI notes/chords it generates can be captured as MIDI input into BIAB, RB or any DAW. However, you will need a way to route that MIDI using free Loopebe2 or MIDIOX or whatever. MG2 itself is not a, and is not seen as a, MIDI "port."

The "think of it as a keyboard synth" is because like a DAW you open MG and SCAN for VST's and VSTi's and PLAY them using your guitar via MIDI Guitar.

There are a lot of other complex ways of using it - but you really need to understand PC MIDI routing, use of virtual MIDI router/virtual patch bays, setting up complex audio routing inside PC, etc.

Good Luck
