I would like the convenience of Band in a Box outputting to FLAC files since it is lossless compression, an open source codec, more manufacturers are supporting it in their hardware, and I really can hear the difference between lossless (FLAC) and lossy (MP3) compression at times even riding in my truck with less expensive speakers.

I've used Flac a few times over the years and I like it. MarioD first put me onto it. I notice that Soundcloud and DAWs accept this file format, too.

I like the APE format better. More solid low mids & cleaner upper mids to a few folks besides myself.
Flac & WavPak are the most popular tho...I would take any of them instead of mp3 or wma!
