It isn't clear from your posts if you've tried to make "modern music" with BIAB or not. There are lots of styles of modern music, so you'd need to let us know what specific style and artist you are talking about. BIAB has hip hop, soul, techno, dubstep, as well as the timeless styles like pop ballad that are also modern. But I'm guessing you have something different in mind. Peter, that is a difficult question to answer. And maybe it will not be possible for BIAB to do modern music (whatever that is) because the modern music is heavily produced and prone to maybe not following past formulas as much? I do not have an answer for you. But I know I listen to a lot of recent music that is called Americana and have not yet found styles in BIAB to create those styles. Yet I know that if I want to create a surf track or a bluegrass track BIAB will excel at that task. I will give this more thought and see if I can come up with more specific inputs. Plenty of examples in the user showcase too. But we don't have an easy way to list them all. So we could make a user category called Americana that would find them all. Thanks for the suggestion. This of course assumes that we're both using the Americana style definition in Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Americana"Americana, as defined by the Americana Music Association (AMA), is "contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots-rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots-oriented sound that lives in a world apart from the pure forms of the genres upon which it may draw.
