This wish is to automate MIDI recording in BIAB. By its architecture, you record to either the Melody or Soloist track via the Thru track (which also can serve dual purpose for live playing). I would like for any settings/effects/instruments assigned to the thru track to be automatically applied to the track you are recording to, so I don't have to manually set it after the recording (and why would I want to record with one instrument and have the result be a different instrument, or why do I need to figure out all the settings and effects on the thru track to apply to the track I recorded to?)

I suppose this could even be turned on or off as a preferences setting, but in general, if I'm capturing MIDI and like the sound I'm getting with the Thru track (which is what I hear), I want that same sound on the destination track.

Additionally, BIAB gives you the ability to copy the MIDI data from the soloist track to the melody track and vice versa; why not expand that do allow you to copy all the settings (not just the MIDI data) of the track from one to the other. That way, again, you don't have to go figure out all the settings you made (which softsynth is applied, any effects applied and what presets you used, etc). Let the computer do what the computer was designed to do.

I hope this made sense.
