Larry,

Thanks for your answer. It's very clear - though it doesn't make me happy!

I am an all RealTracks user, but, in my library of approx 300 songs, I have occasionally (about 40 songs) used a MIDI voice for selected measures to get a particular sound I can't achieve with RealTracks. I always used Roland's VSC DXi - until Windows 7 came out. I ended up spending weeks going thru my library to find the songs with MIDI (they're now documented in my library list) and altered them to either use Coyote WT or SampleTank, whichever sounded better, modifying the volume on those measures as needed to get as close to the original Roland sound as possible.

Now I need to either alter those songs to continue to use SampleTank plug-in or use Sforzando...... and, of course, my concern is, what's the chance that either of those two might change/go away in the future?

Oh, well. Sorry about the b....in'. For now, I'm going to try and use the SampleTank 2.x VSTi as a plug-in.

However, my 1st problem/issue just cropped up - when I select SampleTank 2.x VSTi in the 1st plug-in slot for the track, I get "This copy of SampleTank is not authorized - the 10-day grace period has expired - run the 1K Multimedia Authorization Manager".

I have been using SampleTank (the "free" component that came with BiaB)since it was added to BiaB years ago. I authorized it then and have never been asked to do it again 'til now.

What do I do? How do I authorize it?

Andy
