What are your exact input and output ports selected in Options | Preferences | Audio | Drivers?

Do you just have the sound device build into your laptop, or have you purchased an external sound card?

In the ASIO4ALL control panel (Options | Preferecnes | Audio | Drivers | ASIO Driver's Control Panel), what is the latency (buffer size) set at, and do you have a recent version of ASIO4ALL (version number shown in title bar)?

Are you recording along to MIDI or Audio tracks, or does it not make a difference?
