Yes that had me going for a while until I got used to entering notation .
As you know each note you enter last a bar and a half and dosent get its correct value until you enter the next one .
This is fine until you get to the last note .
There are various ways to shorten the last note.
Enter another note or rest at the point you want the last note to end then delete the extra note .
Lets say the last note wanted to be a whole note on the first beat of the bar to shorten it from its default one and a half bars go to the beginning of the extra half bar and insert a whole bar rest this will make the last note one bar.
Or insert another note instead of a rest at this point then delete it.
It is an unusual way of entering notation, but once you get your head round it ,quicker than choosing note heads from a note pallet as in many notation programs.
