I reckon some of you and not just Aussies will have come across Byron Bay. It's on the easternmost point of Australia and apart from being home to Bluesfest - now a major adult music festival - it attracts around 2 million visitors a year to its beaches, subtropical climate and alt lifestyle charms. I was drawn here myself around 10 years ago. As the years have gone by and I've gotten older I've noticed the visitors get younger and miraculously more beautiful. Go figure! Well this is a song about that. The song will explain the rest.

Haven't been there for a few years - was pretty young when I first went - was a fairly quiet little place back then.

All around fine lyric and production. This would make a very cool video as the imagery is so good.

First of all I really like this write, very strong
little like Mark Knopfler to my ear, which is something I always

Thanks Kenny. Mark Knopfler is definitely an influence, so astutely observed. I'm quite drawn to his guitar voicings and am also a fingerstyle picker.

This is perfect in so many ways. The vocals, instrumentation, mix and the lyrics are spot on. As an old phat I can really relate to this one.
