I am working on a groove that uses midi and real drums. The holds work great for the midi instruments (bass, piano) and the drums are allowed to play through. The tune allso has has a series of pushes which works well with the midi piano and bass. The real drums however typically adds a cymbal crash on the eighth note. Since this tune is a whole song full of pushes I would like to eliminate the pushes for the drums only (cymbal crashes on every measure). My best solution so far is to use Real Band and record a new drum track with all pushes removed after the other tracks are complete. Anyone know of a better way?
The rests and shots dialogue allows selection of instruments. This feature would be nice for the pushes as well. Generally the existing capability is desired (for all instruments to lock in together) but with the repetion of this throughout the entire song it takes away from a very nice drum groove.
