Thanks! Yes, I tried this and the Realtek is fine - actually the NVidia is not plugged in so discount that.

The MOTU starts the test and the Meter shows an initial sound level which then freezes, exactly the same as if I play a WAV in Soundforge. The media will physically not play beyond 0:00. There is no sound. Maybe I should just try to reinstall the drivers?
