MIDI and WAV are two different things completely and not related to one another. WAV is audio and MIDI is a set of instructions for playing synthesisers (or some other MIDI hardware or software).

That being said, it is possible to use a program such as Melodyne to translate audio into MIDI.

Also... In Powertracks 2016, there's a 'Pitch to midi' convert that's found under the Edit menu. I'm not sure if that's in your version of the program. If it is, it will translate a single note melody into MIDI reasonably well. (I'm not sure how it will go if the guitar track is strumming chords.)
