It didn't work, for the drums to play a fill, the drum channel has to be active by placing a d at the end,,, such as F.d to silence the chord and play the drums solo, or F..d to play the chord a short sustain while the drums play, or F...d to play the chord a long sustain while the drums play, but the drums play a fill when the part marker is 1 bar ahead.

I'll try to explain further:-

I have a 100 bar composition, and at bar 52 it has a part marker showing as 52b, and a chord sustaind while playing the guitar channel using Bb...g, at 53, it has C...g, then at 54, F..., but at 55 all I want is just the drums fill from the part marker at 56, while the chord being played on 54 sustains for 2 bars, and on the 2nd bar beat 1, while the chord is fading,,, only the drum fill from the part marker at 56 would be heard, but if I use any of these on 55 beat 1:-

F.d - Cuts of the sustained chord while playing the drums
F..d - plays another F chord for a short period
F...d - plays another F chord while being sustained.

Imagine playing a guitar, and just hitting a chord one time to make it sustain, then count 2,3,4 then while that chord is still fading, and without hitting it again, bring in the drum fill on the next bar.

If more explanation is needed, I can create a video with audio and drop it into my dropbox, but being British, lol, Americans may not be able to understand me lol, even though I've been in the US for nearly 20 years.

It is futile to become lachrymose at the accidental disgorgement of lactic fluid.
