When I was doing my chemo late last year, I was too weak to sing and my left hand was almost totally numb ... only my thumb and index finger had any feeling. So, I decided that was good time to really sit down with BIAb and see what I could with it. In 5 months I write about 30 instrumentals ... all BIAB tracks.. I love playing around with the various styles. This one of the last ones I wrote. It's recorded in Traditional Bluegrass but with a few contemporary touches. Hope you-ans-all like it just a touch. They're all BIAB Thanks for listening! Yee-Haw!!!!!!

The story on the title comes from my family's genealogical history. Between 1815 and 1845, both sides of my family (mom's and dad's sides) lived in Bourbon County Kentucky. To our knowledge, neither side knew each other very well ... The DAVID family (my father's side) and the CROUCH family (my mother's side). Well, various lines of the two families started moving away a little before 1850 but moved to different areas. The two sides joined again in St. Louis, Missouri ... my hometown ... in the early 1900s. My mother was a daughter of Carl and Leona Crouch; my father was the son of Thomas and Minnie David. I thought that was pretty interesting. Hope I didn't bore you too badly with it. Anyway, that's the genesis of the name of the name of the song. Please enjoy ......
