The Scepter (video) The Scepter (audio) Here's our second song for the year...perhaps a bit of a double entendre. I was experimenting around with electric rhythm RT's for the tune, tried an amp sim on one, and Janice said it reminded her of an older Johnny Depp movie (Dead Man) for which the entire sound track consisted of just Neil Young on guitar. I mentioned it to Peter and like magic I shortly received some very much Neil Young inspired guitar solo tracks. Thank you Peter! We both always appreciate your time to listen and comments are most welcome. The SC file is the latest mix but you might also find the video of some interest. This is really nice. A great song and excellent collaboration. Something new and a bit different from this collaboration but it is top notch on every level. I enjoyed this a lot. Outstanding.

Already listened to this over on soundcloud a week or so ago, so checked out the video this time.
Neat song! As I said over on soundcloud it is cool hearing you guys take on different types of material. Janice is great and I really like Peters contribution also, he nailed that Neil Young vibe!

Several very enjoyable listens.
The SoundCloud mix is sharper adding some more bite to an incendiary song... but some of the images in the video are really powerful so its well worth checking both.
The guitar is spine tingling good but my favourite moment in the song is the bridge and Janice`s tender vocal there.

Janice & Bud! My favorite duo! Excellent work on this, really loved the call and response between the vocals and guitar makes for a very dynamic tune. Well done to both of you!

It is very impressive the melody that goes back and forth between E minor key and G major key.

For all our videos, photos, etc., I use only public domain photos (or occasionally mine) and then edit them with a variety of apps so that they will hopefully work together. Sometimes I create overlays, etc., but always try to introduce some sense of unity amongst them. Thank you for mentioning it! It often takes longer to find the "right" photos and edit them than to put the whole video together. J&B
