At the present time, the embellishment for melody can be applied only for the entire song.

From a musical point of view, it would be better to be able to select a part of melody to embellish (Menu 'Embellish Melody From…To… ' as we get it for Transposition of melody).

For ex, in a 3-chorus song, in chorus#1 the melody is played normally, as written in the score; in chorus#2 the melody is muted to let the soloist to play, and in chorus 3 the melody is embellished.

We also could have the situation of a 48-bar melody. The 16 first bars are played as written in the score ; the next 16 bars are played with a light embellishement, and the last 16 bars are played with a more important embellishment. So, doing that, we add much interest in the melody.

In other words, we get a more professional approach of the arrangement of a given song, because that is the way a real musician would perform a melody in a band.

A great MIDI enhancement for BIAB.

Attachement is the view of the Transpose window I am referring to.
