OK, I've checked or unchecked something I can't find a solution for.

When I render a RT (now), the volume is very low. Extremely low. The sound band (name?) in the DAW (any DAW. I've tried 3) looks like a thread. (Just an hour or so ago, all were nice and wide.)

In the BB mixer, I have everything maxed, volumes set at 100, and I've taken them to 127. In the Master track, I have both maxed, green/yellow and even tried red.

In the Render to Audio File menu, nothing looks different to me. One wav per track, normalize, normalize indiv tracks, auto are checked.

I've open/closed, reloaded. I pulled up tracks from earlier today and they are normal. Wide and loud like me.

If you could help I'd sure appreciate it. (Honestly, I Searched, went thru the help index, Googled.)

Thank you.

Never heard this one before. Did you try Option menu, Return to Factory Settings?

Andy,

If you take the wav to Reaper, it's very easy to normalise there.

1. Click on the wav to select it.

2. Press the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+N

Noel

No, I didn't Matt, but I will. I was concerned that going back to factory settings would require me to re-set everything as I get back into making/mixing. But I'm definitely at that point where I'll try anything.

Thank you, Noel. I make so many tracks, constantly trying something new, like 50 times a day, adding that step might be required, but I'd sure like to avoid it.

You both were my BIAB heroes today/yesterday, many thanks you to you, and to all that helped me yesterday. I pdf all solutions to a file, just in case they are needed in the future. It's a RUSH when a situation is solved, especially when an important, standard process is learned and nailed down, like Noel's simple directions for Reaper's changing tempo of an existing track, which were different than directions I could find anywhere. I feel like Superman!

And not fearing the factory reset is a growing moment.

Thanks!

Sound band thing= wave form.

Are you rendering them inside of Real Band and that's where they are small or is this on the export to a DAW that they show up small?

Normally, you should have very nice fat, full rendered waves from the RT's. Although I have seen some that are weaker..... but certainly not thin threadlike forms.

Hi, Herb. I was rendering in BIAB. I don't use RB (yet). The factory reset did not help... I'll call tech support if I can't fix by the time they open.

Thank you for your suggestion.

I'm trying to attach a screenshot. Testing...testing... Here's a link. It shows my settings, etc.

Though it didn't help, you would have noticed that Return to Factory Settings first gives you an opportunity to save your custom settings so you can reload them.

Yes, I did see that and saved, Matt, thanks. I wasn't sure about which reset to do so I tried the first option. I was fearful that the full reset that includes midi settings might give me probs, being as tech challenged as a newt. And it did require resetting midis, but BB gave me the 1 suggestion needed. That is awesome.

I gave it another reset (2nd option), closed, shut down the CPU, and did chores for a couple hours. I just restarted, reloaded; 1st, my render speed has returned to lightning fast!, 2nd the rendered volume has been restored. YES!

Yikes. When I did that, THAT fixed it! FAT! I've never even seen that screen before (drag regarding setting for render/acid). It make the selection in the rendering screen. This is great news!

Thanks, Pipeline!!!!

(BTW, I called tech support and just got the message that they were busy. It's kind of a weird message. I felt more than a little blown off. It's Friday, so I was racing the clock to get help before they closed. I chatted with Joseph, great guy, but we couldn't resolve. I started thinking maybe it was a DAW issue, but it isn't. Especially now that PL fixed me up!)

If you want to create sections/solos/riffs to fit tracks in a DAW, you can try this http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=371691
Biab and RealBand should have ReWire implemented sometime soon hopefully.

BTW, if you want to post an image, use the tag IMAGE rather than IMG on this forum.

I can't remember if it accepts the "CENTER" parameter, but you shouldn't need it to get your point across.

Hi, John.

I'm a lot tech challenged and I don't quite understand your directions. I've never "tagged" anything, so maybe that's something I need to learn/understand. I just select insert image and tried all the floats. They all require an http address. The Media Tag button pulldown has sites designated; Youtube, Myspace (is Myspace still in existence?... I guess so...), etc.

But thank you for your suggestion, John. It's almost always user error.

"Tag" in this contents means the instruction to the forum software on how to add a picture to a post.

It's just the dropbox link, it don't end in .jpg so the tag don't show the pic, they don't have direct links.

Yep, I didn't notice that originally and yes Dropbox doesn't allow direct display links.

And didn't realize that it now allows IMG versus IMAGE (IMAGE still works). I will change my ways to save a few characters of typing.

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!

Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!

Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.

Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.

Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!

And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.

The 2026 49-PAK is loaded with other great new add-ons as well. Learn more about the 2026 49-PAK!
