I have the same result with a mixed style using a real drum or a style using real tracks. Any push with a real drum has a very loud shot with it, either a rim or snare. It completely destroys the effect of the push and sounds totally non-musical. If I use a style without a real drum it sounds the way I intended it to. The real drums have never played the 1/8 and 1/16 pushes correctly. I've had to remove the pushes from my songs in order to play them with real drums.
