This is my tribute to the influence Chuck and other rock legends had on my music. I created it many years ago in a more primitive version of Biab... we may be even talking of the dos days when it was wise to save every few minutes to avoid a crash with a resulting useless ".sed" file. Though I can't find the parts, I was able to edit the stereo audio file in Audacity to replace 2 lines in the first verse with lines from the 2nd verse to give the song a somewhat more pg rating than what the beer joints required. I don't think the edits are noticeable, but you might want to turn you speakers down because it is quite heavily compressed. I hope you will enjoy it.
Perhaps others have songs they have written that could be tributes for this great man of music.

Thanks RichMac... I didn't put in the chords like you suggested we do , but if you want to play along, it is in the key of F with an F... Eb... Bb... Db progression on the chorus.

Speaking of radio, I don't know if the many talented songwriters here (and there are quite a few of you which I have been listening to through the years) are aware that some public radio stations actually accept "radio-ready" original material from songwriters. With the quality of the songs produced here perhaps we should check out our local stations.

Thanks, Torrey, I totally agree. I never got to sing it with a band. Seems like all the other guys laid claim to his bigger hits, but I sure got a lot of mileage out of Nadine, which IMHO has a lot of nifty sounding lyrics.
