Brad, first of all, I love the song. Great melody and some fine lyrics combine to capture the melancholy sentiment. I am afraid there is a problem with the recording. Way too much compression. When the drums and bass kick in it becomes unlistenable. It should be an easy fix to a fine song. Tom

Cool song, John (Brad?)... nice singable melody. I agree with Tom's comment - there is a lot of distortion in the mix. The opening guitar sounds great...

Great melody, lyric and structure. The overall mix is off to my ears? Seems like the compression is a little on the hot side and the panning of the instruments seem hard L/R? Maybe that was on purpose and we all like our instruments panned the way WE want to hear them in a mix. This one is worth a lil more work on those two things, IMO. Great song though and I am jealous of how people can put pen to heart things  Trax ps: You can check your balance by playing your mixes through a car radio or boombox as well. If they sound great in those, they will sound great as MP3/WMA etc.

hi music trax
ive re done thw mix .is it still a little too much compression? I purposely panned the fiddle and guitar to try and give a sense of space ,does it not work/ appreciate the comments .im always ready to listen and learn thank you

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
