Hey, this isn't the perfect solution... but I tried this and it works:
for the last 4 measures of your song, do incremental time changes at each bar. You do this by control clicking a measure, then going to bar properties and then changing the tempo. I took a ballad that was at T=80 and slowed the last four bars down by entering a new tempo into each of the last four bars. Experiment with your own numbers, but my last measure was down to 50. It doesn't sound as cool as a hold.. but it's a work around for now.
