I'm willing to discuss the reason for the OP's request. For example, it could involve having to know how to read the duration of written notation and how to translate that into knowledge of "the grid". It would be helpful to know what it is the OP wants to do that cannot easily be done now. Then we can move forward.



My reason is that I don't understand the grid system and I would rather just be able to select a note value and place it on the notation editor.
