I had a Boss Spectrum pedal that did some pretty cool things (just comes to mind) ... wish I could remember who I loaned that one to. Seems pretty valuable now too.
I was lucky, I had parents that owned a music store, so just going to work with them would sometimes prove awesome. I always tried to check out whatever was 'new'. My Juno-G and (and even my W-30 back in the day) also went up in price .. says a lot about Roland. So to get back on topic, I've always liked their stuff. They've been good for a lot of years.
