Don't really understand your question or your setup. Prob asking a mod to move your post might help as suggested.
All I know is there is midi setup and routing. And then there are commands written into midi files that do certain things like change/pick instruments that might need to be removed.
My Roland is a VS-2480 and FA-08. The FA-08 has expansion packs. Sounds on it are stored as studio sets.
Someone else might be of better help.
The FA-08 has what are know as expansions. They are loaded into the FA-08 expansion cards.
Don't know if this is what you were referring to.
