alles was ich mir aus den Ergebnissen der Suche angeguckt hatte machte nicht unbedingt einen zuverlässigen Eindruck oder war uralt:
Gibt es eine 'offizielle' Datenbank für BiaB Songs? Kann mir gar nicht vorstellen, daß es das nicht geben soll :-)

Eine offizielle Datenbank gibt es nicht. Das hat, vermute ich, mehrere wahrscheinliche Gründe:
1. Es gibt zu viele, die mit BIAB Musikstücke "erstellen" (komponieren, arrangieren, kopieren). Wer soll diese Datenbank pflegen?
2. Alles was eine Melodie enthält unterliegt zuerst einmal den entsprechenden Urheberrechtsvorschriften, einiges davon ist allerdings bereits Gemeingut. Das was noch nicht dem Gemeingut zugeordnet ist, darf aus juristischen Gründen nicht einfach frei verfügbar gemacht werden. Wenn es jemand doch tut, dann kann das für diesen Menschen möglicherweise teuer werden.
3. Nicht jeder legt für andere frei verfügbar offen, was er gemacht hat. Das sind manchmal ganz egoistische Gründe oder die Ursachen liegen in Punkt 2.

Moin, ... darf aus juristischen Gründen nicht einfach frei verfügbar gemacht werden. ... was ist denn dann mit den zahlreichen *tab* Webseiten, die machen doch nichts anderes? Solange ich das nur für mich im lauten kämmerlein übe? Klar, wenn ich mit dem Song in die Öffentlichkeit gehe, dann wird's hakelig. Aber egal, die eigentlich Antwort lautet ja: gibt's nicht. horst p.s.: ich dachte, irgendsoetwas von wegen 'Sondgdownload' in der Beschreibung von BiaB gelesen zu haben. Nein, ich meine nicht die RealTracks :-)

Einen Hinweis auf Song-Download finde ich auf die Schnelle nicht.
Ungeachtet dessen, dass sich auch die TAB-Leute juristisch auf sehr wackeligem Boden befinden (viele Internetseiten mit Musikdateien akustischer und schriftlicher Natur sind deswegen schon verschwunden), nur weil die das tun, ist das nicht besser.
Wenn du Musik suchst, gib einfach im Suchfeld der Internetsuchmaschine Deines Vertrauens den Namen des Titels und BIAB ein. Du wirst überrascht sein, wie viele Versionen bei manchen Liedern verfügbar sind. Bei manchen Titeln musst Du aber auch ein bisschen kreativ den Namen ändern. Diejenigen, die Du wirklich brauchst, gibt es meiner Erfahrung nach aber noch nicht mal als kaufbare Midi-Datei. Viele der frei verfügbaren BIAB-Dateien im Internet taugen nicht viel. Einige sind einfach nur Elektronenschrott, manche sind aber sehr gut.
Wenn Du etwas findest und diese Seite mehr Potenzial hat als Du derzeit brauchst, lade alles herunter, Du weißt nicht, ob Du diese Seite wieder finden wirst -- siehe weiter oben.

Hallo Horst,
Musik unterliegt dem Urheberrecht (in der Regel jedenfalls bis 70 Jahre nach dem Tod des Urhebers). Das bezieht sich im wesentlichen auf die Melodie (Tonfolge), den Songtitel und ggf. den Liedtext. Die einem Musikstück zu Grunde liegende Akkordfolge ist aber nicht schützbar - das wäre auch schwierig, es gibt genügend Stücke, die auf den gleichen Akkordfolgen basieren, diese können ja (z.B. bei Blues und Rockmusik) wirklich trivial sein (das macht Tabs-Datenbanken weniger problematisch).
Deshalb findest du offiziell von PGMusic (BiaB) unterhalten natürlich keine Stückedatenbank mit Melodie, Songtitel und Texten, das wäre lizenezrechtlich kaum bezahlbar. Du findest aber sehr viele komplette Dateien dennoch im Internet - meist privat erstellt und angeboten. Das ist rechtlich zwar auch nicht ohne Weiteres zulässig, wird aber offenbar eher als "Privatkopie" betrachtet und nicht unbedingt gleich von den Verwertungsgesellschaften geahndet.
Gerade im Jazzbereich gibt einige sehr vollständige Archive mit Umsetzungen der gängigen Realbooks. Ich möchte die Links hier nicht unbedingt angeben, du findest das aber sehr rasch, wenn du beispielsweise "band in a box jazz songs" googlest.

Moin ihr,
Bernhard, ja teile des RealBook hab ich vor allem aber als 'quasi Bestandteil' von Impro-Visor (da hat sich mal jemand sehr viel Arbeit gemacht).
Und das mit dem export als XML und import in BiaB hinterläßt eine große Aufgabe in form von Nachbeareitung, das funktioniert nicht wirklich. Dann kann ich die Harmonien auch gleich von Hand eingeben.
(Gerade noch mal mit 'Cry me river' probiert)
Und diese *tab Seiten im Internet liefern häufig fehlerhafte Ergebnisse. Ich hätte ja gar nichts dagegen was zu bezahlen, wenn ich dafür korrekte Notierungen bekäme (Noten, TAB, ... )

Ich möchte das nochmals aufgreifen: gibt es denn auch Anbieter, die BiaB-Songs verkaufen? Im MIDIFILE - Bereich kenne ich da den GEERDES. Der hat allerdings viel Schlagerzeugs im Programm.

Es gibt einen Anbieter mit Sitz in Texas, über dessen Seriosität ich aber nichts sagen kann. Der bietet eine Software (PC/Mac) mit Zugriff auf alle möglichen Realbooks, angeblich in Finale auch neu gesetzt (das sieht in der Online-Demo aber nicht so aus, dort sieht man nur Bitmaps der Original-Realbookseiten) plus zusätzlich Original-Audioaufnahmen aller Stücke plus Band-in-a-Box-Dateien der Songs - ob die aber mit denen der Realbooks 1:1 korrespondieren, oder nur eine gesammlte Beigabe von im Netz gefundenen Files sind, wird nicht deutlich. Alles soll lizensiert sein und trotzdem nur 127 $ kosten. Für mich etwas zweifelhaft, auch nur online bestellbar und natürlich vorab zu bezahlen. Aber vielleicht weiß ja jemand mehr darüber, der es tatsächlich bestellt hat - ich kenne niemanden. Die Webseite ist: http://www.realbooksoftware.com/Es gibt zu diesem Anbieter einige Threads hier im Forum – allerdings mit letzten Posts aus 2012 – man könnte dazu vielleicht mal eine neue Anfrage im englischen Forenbereich starten. Ein oder zwei User haben damals jedenfalls offenbar die Software gekauft. In deren Posts wird die miserable Qualität des Programms und die Scanqualität der Noten bemängelt, außerdem der ominöse Support des Anbieters und dass sich die Software offenbar nach einiger Zeit abschaltet und zur Freischaltung erneut eine Zahlung notwendig wird. Klingt alles also sehr zweifelhaft - auch wenn auf der Webseite jetzt steht, dass alles nun in Finale neu gesetzt sei. Auch bei der Suche im Netz findet man praktisch nur negative Bewertungen zu diesem Anbieter. Gruß

Hallo Brille,
Danke für den Hinweis, aber ich suche weniger Jazz-Standards, diengibt es als MIDI-Files relativ häufig (habe ich als App für iOS gekauft). Mich würden eher "modernere" Stücke aus dem Rock/Funk/Fusion-Bereich interessieren, aber ich glaube das wird eher nicht zu finden sein
