Hola.
Estoy planteándome adquirir el Band in a box, y tengo varias dudas.
Primero, la versión que me conviene. Soy guitarrista de Jazz y el uso que voy a darle en principio es para practicar con bases, crear backing traks, etc . He encontrado muchos temas de jazz en venta que estaría encantado de adquirir para practicar con ellos. ¿con la versión PRO tendría bastante?
Segundo. Solo tengo el ordenador y una interface Roland duo capture con dos monitores. ¿Tengo bastante con eso? Es que me han comentado que si no tengo un módulo de sonido no funciona el mezclador del band in a box (para poner y quitar instrumentos al reproducir las canciones), yo no le veo sentido, pero mejor preguntar.

Hola Pepe, Band-in-a-Box aún desde su versión mas sencilla, te permitirá crear las pistas y bases que quieras. En el area del jazz hay muchisimos estilos y variaciones de los mismos, además de muchos ejemplos y demos pre-grabados. En la seccion de práctica igualmente vas a conseguir una división especialmente dedicada a la guitarra Jazz, con muchos ejemplos, lecciones y demos en esa area. En cuanto a las diferentes versiones, todas poseen la misma librería de estilos y demos con instrumentación MIDI, aunque hay algunos addons o agregados que se pueden adquirir, pero donde está la diferencia principal de una versión a otra es en los RealTracks y RealDrums, ya que las versiones mas básicas incluyen un número menor de los mismos. La version PRO incluye una buena seleccion de RealTracks que depende de tus exigencias te sean suficientes o no, pero en lineas generales incluyen los estilos y variaciones mas esenciales (mas de 200 RT en 38 bandas) las versiones van incluyendo aun mas RealTracks y estilos en la medida que el paquete sea mas completo, siendo UltraPlusPAK, EverythingPAK y Audiophile Edition los paquetes que incluyen todos los Realtracks y RealDrums existentes, por lo cual son los mas recomendados para cubrir todas las expectativas y posibilidades existentes. Yo mismo como guitarrista con fuerte inclinacion hacia el Jazz y el Fusion te puedo decir que he sido usuario de Band-in-a-Box durante mas de 25 años durante los cuales el programa siempre ha cumplido mis expectativas a total cabalidad, destacando que las últimas versiones son simplemente una experiencia increible con las multiples nuevas características añadidas. Es importante recalcar que en la medida que vayas usando Band-in-a-Box y descubras sus posibilidades casi ilimitadas, vas a descubrir maneras de crear, producir y grabar mejores canciones y pistas, en donde la interacción con otros programas, como RealBand o el "DAW" (estacion de trabajo de audio digital o secuenciador) de tu preferencia será de gran ayuda para explorar territorios y expandir horizontes bajo tu total control. En cuanto a tu última pregunta, solo necesitas una interface muy sencilla, estereo, y preferiblemente compatible con ASIO, para manejar el audio de Band-in-a-Box. Un módulo de sonidos, sampler o teclado (con GM minimo) son algo opcional y no necesario para poder usar el programa, ya que Band-in-a-Box puede trabajar internamente en tu misma PC con cualquier sintetizador virtual compatible con VSTi o DXi , los cuales pueden ser integrados como instrumentos VST en el menu respectivo. Band-in-a-Box y PG Music incluyen COYOTE WT un excelente software y fuente de instrumentacion muy completa que puedes usar para asignar el instrumento que quieras a cada una de tus pistas. Asi mismo en la version 2017 se ha incluido una excelente novedad: sforzando SFZ Synth, el cual es un sintetizador que soporta el popular formato .SFZ y "PG Music's Hi-Q sounds" que pueden ser obtenidos ampñiamente en internet y estan listos para ser cargados en sforzando. Este sintetizador es instalado "in build" en Band-in-a-Box y no requiere configuracion. Finalmente, con la intención de darte mas luz al respecto, me permito dejarte algunos ejemplos y demos que he realizado con Band-in-a-Box enteramente unos o con ayuda del mismo en otros, en vinculo con programas externos de secuenciacion de audio. en donde ejecuto la guitarra electrica, MIDI y acustica. Primero muchas gracias por tu contestación. Me has quitedo todas las dudas que tenía. solo una pequeña pregunta. De paquete a paquete no se puede actualizar verdad?. por ejemplo, si compro el Mega Pack y luego se me hacen los dientes largos porque me gustaría tener más RealTracks y estilos, no hay un update a esas versiones pagando la diferencia ¿verdad?
Segundo, me han encantado tus enlaces, y la calidad tanto del audio como de la música me parecen tremendas. Veo que las opciones son casi infinitas. He visto que empleas una Godin con MIDI. Yo tambien tengo una godin con el Roland GR-55, pero los tengo aparcados y sin usar porque ahora me voy más para el jazz clásico, pero por lo que he visto en tus vídeos, ¿puedes meter la guitarra via midi al Band in a Box e ir escribiendo la partitura? ¿con la calidad que se ve en el vídeo?
Veo muchas posibilidades y supongo que cuando lo use descubriré muchas más.

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums.
