sforzando is a VSTi plugin, so if it were installed (when you re-installed BIAB) and you also installed (ran) the:

"hiq_instruments_sforzando.exe"

You should be able to just point to your midi track (like a Piano track) and right click on it (see pic 1) then select MIDI Instrument - > Select Hi-Q MIDI Patch change, then the HI-Q patches should show up (see pic 2)

You can, and probably should, ALSO install the "sforzando VST_x86.dll" from the plugin pull down menu. But first you need to KNOW WHERE you, or BIAB, installed the sforzando VST_x86.dll (see pics 3 and 4)

it SHOULD be in the default BAIB install location of :

“C:\Program Files\Plogue\sforzando\VST\sforzando VST_x86.dll”

but might be elsewhere

If issues you can always go back and simply run (re-install) the "bandinabox_realband_2017_full.exe" and on about the 4th menu pick custom installation an de-select everything EXCEPT "Plogue Sforzando Plugin" to ensure it is installed

also since you re-downloaded all the BIAB install files (and I assume RT files, and bonus paks, etc.)it sounds like you did NOT get the external BIAB Hard Drive? If that's the CASE you REALLY need to store all those re-downloaded files OFF the PC and onto an external USB drive (a 1TB can be had for ~$54 bucks at Amazon or a 2TB for a few buck more - especially if a Prime member)

Good luck
Larry
