I used to select a note, then (with a certain key depressed) drag that note to a new spot in order to make a harmony. It was neat because it would put the new note just in the right place and would transfer all other additions of data along with the "dragging". I have forgotten what key I would depress in order to accomplish this most needed move. Any help, guys?
Johnny, you don't need a special key-command to drag a note, but to copy/duplicate a note (create an additional note), follow the pictures:

But there used to be trick where you could select the note and "zip", "zip", "zip", you could drag as many notes as you wanted with the cursor to a new place and "wallah" . . . . a new note the same length and velocity of the first. But at least your way is still current. Thanks . . . JZ

To add to this, Real Band has a very neat thing called the Bars Window. It's a grid showing all the bars being used on all tracks. The bars squares are shown in black. This is very useful if you decide to either copy or move entire sections of your song. Example, you want to extend a solo section by 16 bars. Same as shown above, you use the mouse to draw a border around the 16 bars/tracks you want to copy, hit Copy then put the cursor on the bar you want to insert and just paste it. Voila, you just expanded the song by 16 bars. Most tunes have A, B, C etc sections. The Bars Window lets you move/copy/delete entire sections. Or, if you have a killer lick on one bar and want to use that somewhere else then you just copy/paste that one bar from one track rather than all tracks. Very useful and it's one reason I use RB much more than Biab.
