How do I get my MIDI keybaord to work with BIAB?
Computer: Macbook Pro, 16 inch 2021
DAWs: Pro Tools, Logic, and Maschine
plays drums, percussion, bass, steel pan, keyboard,
music producer/engineer

You should be able to just plug in your keyboard (probably via USB, I'm assuming), then select the "Thru" tract in BIAB to select a patch or instrument you want to play, and away you go. If this doesn't get you going, maybe you can give us some more specific information on exactly what you're trying to do.

You should be able to just plug in your keyboard (probably via USB, I'm assuming), then select the "Thru" tract in BIAB to select a patch or instrument you want to play, and away you go. If this doesn't get you going, maybe you can give us some more specific information on exactly what you're trying to do. That's what I'm trying to do, plug it in and start recording notes.

Be sure your controller/ keyboard is set up in OSX- core midi. The output port ( on the graphic core midi) in core midi needs to be your input port in BIAB - option- select midi ports. Then what ever ports you want to use as output/instruments e.g. Apple DLS synth. click the thru button- jam on it
