Did BIB got rid of the chorus number being played display? if not, where it is now? I see the bar playing in the new GUI but is hard to know what chorus is at the moment. Thanks
I agree with the Mike, that it is difficult, if not impossible, to tell what chorus is being played. Just one of the several changes to 2017 that I do not find very helpful.
Noel, surely the illustration you show is due to a part markers indicating a new substyle and not the start of a new chorus? If you have say, all 'b' part markers every eight bars, as I do often, all you will see in the Timeline is a many green lines and no indication whatsoever of which chorus it is. Even if you only put a part marker at the beginning of a chorus, it can still be difficult to tell because all of the choruses cannot be seen on the Timeline.
This song has three choruses, and several part markers, and the song is playing. A cursory glance would never identify which chorus the song position was in.
The concept is excellent, but in reality, I feel there's room for improvement. Other members have already made similar recommendations.

I think it can be improved with better contrast of the colors used for part markers (much lighter shades would be an improvement). I like the new UI and really prefer not to have to revert, as the new interface gives me more of what I really need to see while in playback mode.
