Try saving the track as a "Performance file". On the Windows version of the programme, I access that option by right-clicking on the track and then clicking on "Track Actions".
A performance file is a wav or wma file that is rendered explicitly for a track to use. Once that is loaded, the audio should play for you and do the job. To create the performance track, though, just make sure that you have the melody play all the way through. If you have to use a single style to do this, that's fine because the style is not rendered to audio.
