There have been so many times I wish there were dedicated drum solos. Didn't even have that when it was MIDI only. You would think that would be easy to do. The best I can do is play around with strategically placed part markers and perhaps create some multi-styles for additional drum variations.

Drum solos (easiest because of no harmony) and bass solos are a staple of jazz - and yet BIAB has never offered them despite every other instrument in every jazz style. I've been using BIAB, and an advocate of the program to all my students since it's inception on the Atari in 1990 - yet this omission remains a complete mystery.
I have been taking standards like Autumn Leaves and using this technique to generate bass solos to work on ideas and phrasing. Tutorial is a bit old but still works. <<TS>>
