Hi

I have a completed song - 12 Audio Tracks and need to change the tempo of 4 bars in each verse (3 verses). I prefer to have a gradual speeding up over the 4 bars so could do it by Tempo in each bar increasing slightly or is there some other way?

But... I've tried using the Time-Stretching in Real Band and it just hangs up forever. Today I tried a test using only one bar of one track and set it to slow the Tempo 10bpm. It came up with a warning that it will overwrite data on the track. So I copied and pasted just that one bar into a new, empty track. Well it seemed like it was doing something but it came up with 'One Consolidated Files to Process' and nothing happened. I gave up after one hour. So it couldn't even time-stretch one bar!

I considered buying Waves Sound Shifter but just cannot get it to install in Real Band. Someone years ago posted something about waveshells etc. and I followed the instructions but could not get anywhere with that. It looks like a good program though.

Does anyone have any suggestion of time-stretching software that would work with RB? Or even better... is it really possible and feasible for me to do this in Real Band? If so, I would love to see a list of things I must do to achieve this.

The tracks are one Vocal, Drums, Bass and various other instruments. I just paid CA$750+ to have a vocalist record the vocal track and do not want to go that route again when I should just be able to time-stretch each track.

Thanks in advance.

Paul
